ArtiMinex

Björklund Pharma AS is developing ArtiMinex for individuals who experience strain in the Achilles tendon and heel region, such as athletes, military personnel, and people engaged in physically demanding work. Discomfort in this area is often associated with mechanical overload and repetitive stress on the lower extremities.

ArtiMinex is based on a specific mineral composition designed to support normal muscle function and connective tissues in osteoarticular structures. The concept builds on the idea of targeted mineral exchange to help maintain a favourable mineral balance in local tissues and to support comfort in the heel and ankle region after physical exertion.

The development of ArtiMinex has involved collaboration with international researchers. A clinical pilot study protocol describing the use of mineral salts exchange in heel pain has been published in Science & Healthcare (October 2021), outlining the planned methodology for evaluating this approach in individuals with heel pain (1).
